Kenny Effin' Powers

I'm submitting this as an entry into the 8th Evil Ex contest thing, so here's the story:

Gideon had run Ramona's heart through a cheese grater, spread all that heart cheese on an extra large pizza of despair and then tossed it out in the smelly streets like a greasy Frisbee on furlough. She staggered out of the rain into the first open door, a burnt umber and neon spackled sports bar called The Toothless Mile. The place smelled strongly of piss, broken dreams and domestic beer.

Pushing her hair out of her face, she placed the first of a dozen orders for tall brown bourbon, it didn't matter what kind, and slumped over against a termite ridden foosball table. Under that table, nursing yet another major league firing and a hall of fame hangover was the man himself, Kenny Effin' Powers. Needless to say, they complimented each other's collapses.

The next morning Ramona got a good solid look at that mullet blending into a tangled forest of back hair and set alight. She would try to forget him, but Kenny would carry a flaming torch of "AW, YEAH" for her well into his next stint with the Baltimore Meerkats. Eventually he would join the Guild, bringing with him his amazing stamina at bat and florescent jet ski.
