Hey, I contributed a comic to Bobby Mono's (I forgot how to link to him and stuff, c'mon, you should know this guy by now, right?) upcoming musical comic anthology, MIXTAPE. Geez but I'm a lousy promoter, still I should probably let some people know that I illustrated a book recently and it can be purchased in its totality on Amazon. Sure, it's called "Have a Seat, Son" and it's written by a guy who calls himself Foster P. Rents. He hired me to illustrate his book because people told him I was a tasteless asshole who didn't mind drawing stuff like a little kid's guts getting squashed out, a pedophile photo session, a bathroom blowjob, robbery at knife point, heroin addiction, keg stands, sexual inadequacy and more. Basically it's a book full of terrible things. And it's for kids. 

I'm currently working in a pink sketchbook, if you can call it working. You can certainly call it pink. Each new sketchbook brings with it a feeling, a vibe, a personality that can permeate all the work that goes into it. This one is kind of melancholy. It's a little thoughtful. It ponders about things and sometimes frets. Not a lot of comedy in this guy. I'm enjoying drawing in him though.

So, as I sometimes do, I'll be scanning every page of the pink sketchbook and putting it here online. There's some good drawings and some bad drawings, some occasionally true drawings and a lot of dishonest ones. Tons of mediocrity. Anyway, this is my sketchbook.

Man, my drawing has been severely crippled as of late by the scourge of a time and energy depleting "real job". I'm not getting a lot of new work actually done although I'm thinking a lot of stuff through in my head for some magical time in the future where I'll feel like working on hardcore comicing again. For now, however, I have an entire sketchbook that I finished back in May, the majority of who's pages have never seen the business side of a scanner. So, Sketchbook Shenanigans are back after a long hiatus, hope some of these drawings don't stink.
